The Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation is seeking undergraduate or recently graduated students for internship positions.
Internships will be for school credit or educational stipends.
Duties: Interns will work closely with the staff members and volunteers on administrative duties, exhibition preparation, educational programming, and other tasks relating to interpretation at the museum.
Interns may:
? Assist with collection management projects, such as researching, accessioning, cataloguing, photographing and deaccessioning collections materials.
– Work to develop education materials for the public, including brochures and labels.
? Work to develop and promote education programs at the museum.
? Help coordinate or research temporary exhibitions at the CRMII and at other locations.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
? Demonstrated knowledge and/or interest in history, museum studies or education.
? Excellent research, writing and verbal skills.
? Ability to work independently, set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage a number of concurrent projects in a timely and efficient manner.
? Excellent computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point.
