Vulcan Inc. is hiring a Registrar. This position will assist with care and processing of the art and artifacts collections including: accessioning, deaccessioning, cataloguing, storage inventories, rehousing projects, conservation scheduling and oversight. Assist with outgoing loans as assigned. Provide data and logistical support for special projects, including arranging local shipping and performing incoming and outgoing condition reports. Requires high level expertise with standard museum practices for the care, handling, packing and long-term storage of artwork. Works closely with Collections staff and other Vulcan departments, and receives support from the Preparators.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Museum Studies, Art or Art History (B.A. or B.S.) from accredited institution (Master’s Degree preferred) and 5 plus years relevant museum registration experience.
