The Navy V-12/Navy ROTC Memorial Prize Winner: Aidan Schertz

Aidan Schertz (E20) is a senior majoring in Human Factors Engineering who has maintained a stellar GPA while serving as a Midshipman in the Old Ironsides Battalion. She completes her senior year at Tufts as Midshipman Battalion Commander. As a leader, Aidan has instituted new policies, directives, and guidance to improve the Battalion through increased unit cohesion and peer support, before she makes her way into the fleet, where she has service selected aviation. Nominated for this award for her leadership, athleticism, and commitment to service, Aidan is also active in Tufts Food Rescue and teaching engineering to elementary school children through STOMP. 

The Navy V-12/Navy ROTC Memorial Prize goes to a student enrolled in a program leading to a commission in the U.S. Navy or Naval Reserve upon graduation. The prize recognizes scholastic achievement, leadership, and significant contributions to the community.
