TUSDM at Harvard Square Homeless Shelter
With a group of five Tufts students (4 D3’s and 1 D1), students went to a student-run homeless shelter in Cambridge called the Harvard Square Homeless Shelter.
The shelter is composed of permanent short-term residents, and also does door orders, giving out supplies and food to those in need.
At the shelter, students set up a table to hand out dental supplies and answer questions the residents had about oral healthcare. Further, they gave dental supplies to the street team to give out to the door orders to those who came by. Further, extra supplies were brought to the children’s shelter next door.
