EDUCATION COORDINATOR
FOR WORLD-RENOWNED MUSEUM
The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is seeking an Education Coordinator.
As a member of the
Education Department, the Education Coordinator will provide administrative
support for the
department and to the Deputy Director and Gail Engelberg Director of
Education. The position will
also work closely with the Education Associate.

*Supervisory Responsibilities:*

*Key Responsibilities:*
Departmental Responsibilities
* Meet, greet, and assist Sackler Center visitors and all group arrivals
* Create signage for the Sackler Center and Education programs as necessary
* Respond to general inquiries sent to the department
* Coordinate colleague visits with department staff as needed
* Prepare education packets
* Work with appropriate museum departments and education staff to
coordinate the
scheduling of events/spaces as well as maintenance for the Sackler Center
– Manage the Sackler Center calendar
– Interface with Facilities, Operations, and IT to coordinate special
requests for
room arrangements, equipment and repairs, and oversee the maintenance and
upkeep for the public education spaces of the Sackler Center
– Attend and report at monthly Building Operations meetings
* Develop and maintain departmental program documentation and statistics
* Distribute and submit department timesheets to finance for payroll
* Coordinate department Distributed Materials for current and upcoming
exhibitions
* Maintain office supplies
* Update department staff lists and organization charts
Executive Administration
* Process and submit monthly departmental travel and entertainment reports
* Provide administrative support for correspondence and other writing
assignments
* Handle department mail, including the collection and distribution of
important signed
documents; handle miscellaneous outbox requests
* Maintain and update mailing lists, education public relations materials,
department
archives, exhibition files, and art and museum education materials
* Carry out special assignments as designated
*Qualifications and Requirements*:
* BS/BA/BFA degree in Art History, Art Education, Studio Art, or Museum
Studies
* 1-2 years of experience required
* Familiarity with modern and contemporary art
* Excellent organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, and
administrative skills, as well as
research and editing skills
* Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task
* Office, budget, and customer service experience
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, PC and Mac OS, and Raiser’s
Edge
* Multilingual fluency desired
