The position acts as the main point of contact for local schools and other interested groups for on-site and outreach educational programs and is responsible for scheduling, coordinating and facilitating educational programs to primarily school groups, grades K-12, throughout the academic year and to general public audiences during the summer season.
Duties also include, but are not limited to: conducting outreach activities in local schools; assisting JPPM staff with events such as Children’s Day on the Farm and 1812 Fair and Re-enactment; creating printed marketing materials for educational programs; coordinating public programs and workshops; and supervising seasonal education program workers.
Successful candidates must have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with diverse groups and individuals, and the ability to work weekends.
