The American Independence Museum is seeking a creative Education Manager to evaluate current educational programs and lead, plan, and coordinate all future education programing at our growing institution. Current programming includes on-site and off-site school programs, graduate and undergraduate internship programs, and interactive exhibits and tours for youth. The educator is responsible for meeting education programming budgetary goals for both income and individuals served; ensuring our curriculum meets New Hampshire guidelines; training all volunteer educators for a consistent experience; and increasing the awareness of AIM as an institution with tremendous education opportunities.Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in museum studies or education, Masters preferred. Candidates must have 2-4 years experience in formal and/or informal teaching along with excellent public presentation skills. The successful candidate will enjoy working on a team, and bring a commitment to running creative educational programs with an entrepreneurial spirit. This position is 20-24 hours a week, and is contracted through December 31, 2015 with the option to renew pending the success of the growing program. Some nights and weekends required.
