The Arlington Historical Society is seeking students to help teach our Education Program to local 3rd grade classes visiting the Jason Russell House and Smith Museum for their annual field trips.This is an ideal opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students seeking hands-on museum or education experience without the commitment of a full-time internship. Tasks during the Education Program session will include set-up, assisting with tours and activities. Training on activities and the program’s structure will be provided.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has museum experience, education experience, and/or art and craft-making experience. Students pursuing Museum Education, Art Education, Studio Art, Art History, History, or Museums Studies are encouraged to apply.

We preserve and interpret the history of Arlington (West Cambridge; Menotomy) MA for the public. We maintain a significant archives and collection related to town history.
