The American Independence Museum is seeking an entrepreneurial Museum Operations Manager to think creatively and build our capability to utilize the tremendous resources at the Museum and generate increased revenue streams in areas such as public programs, gift shop, rentals and creative community partnerships. The Museum Operations Manager is responsible for meeting public programming budgetary goals for both income and individuals served; building the revenue produced by our gift shop; evaluating and managing a rental program; and increasing the awareness of AIM. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing, Masters preferred, as well as three to five years of experience working in a non-profit setting developing income streams through innovative programming. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have adept communication skills, enjoy working on a team, and be able to think creatively in all aspects of their work. This position is 20 hours a week, and is contracted through December 31, 2015 with the option to renew pending the success of the growing program. Some nights and weekends required.
