George Eastman House is a premier institution that combines the art, history and technology of photography and cinema. The museum holds world-class collections of photographs and motion pictures and the preeminent collection of photographic and cinematographic equipment. The museum is located on the National Historic Landmark estate of entrepreneur and philanthropist George Eastman, the father of popular photography, in Rochester, New York. George Eastman House organizes about ten exhibitions each year, some of which travel to other museums in the U.S. and abroad. Its recently renovated 500-seat Dryden Theatre presents more than 300 films each year. In partnership with the University of Rochester, the institution offers master’s degree programs in film preservation and in photographic preservation and collection management.

With a new leadership team in place, George Eastman House is positioned to reach new heights, with the goal of expanding its reach nationally and internationally, while maintaining its tradition of excellence and service to the local community.
