Interns will be trained in art handling, the creation of condition reports, and all aspects of data collection and entry. Interns will report to the registrar but will also work with the curator and may be called on to help with larger institution-wide projects and events as needed. Currently this position is unpaid.
Open to qualified college or graduate students. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint) is essential. Familiarity with photography and Adobe Photoshop is preferred. Familiarity with Filemaker Pro is preferred. Successful candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and be well organized, able to multitask, and able work quickly and efficiently both independently and collaboratively with other members of the curatorial department.
Must be able to commit 10-15 hours per week for at least twelve weeks through August 2014 and attend orientation sessions on Tuesday June 10, Wednesday June 11, and Thursday June 12 (10am-3pm)

Established as a grass roots organization in 1975 by a committed group of citizens, the Danforth Museum of Art, now called Danforth Art, has grown to become a vital cultural resource.
