Job Requirements
The ambitious and innovative Manager of Individual Giving will have at least eight years of experience in development, managing a portfolio of high-level donors, building positive relationships, and securing six-figure gifts. Development Coordinator [Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum]

Museum Development Coordinator

As a Museum Development Coordinator, you will serve as the development director for the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum (CSPM). You will play a critical role in the museum’s ongoing efforts to raise funds that allow it to continue fulfilling its mission and strategic vision. In this highly visible position, you will be responsible for all aspects of fundraising, including major gifts, annual fund campaign, planned giving, membership, grants, and special events. Typical Responsibilities

Implement CSPM’s development plans in collaboration with the Development Committee and the Museum’s nonprofit board
Oversee earned income and marketing/communications programs
Ensure the CSPM mission and programs are consistently presented in a strong, positive manner to all relevant stakeholders and funders
Manage donor recruitment, solicit sponsors, and cultivate partners
Oversee development and maintenance of fundraising and record keeping systems, including donor management, research, cultivation, gift processing, and recognition
Identify methods to enhance and expand development capacity
Interview, select, evaluate performance, develop training schedules, and participate in disciplinary actions of staff
Provide direction to staff, approve time reporting, coordinate schedules, and maintain the efficient distribution of workload
Examples of Job Competencies

Knowledge of:

Standards and practices of fundraising, donor recognition, record-keeping, grant writing, events management, and prospect research
Marketing and the link between public engagement and fundraising
Museum field or arts/culture programs
Modern office procedures, methods, and equipment, including computers and supporting software applications
Proper English usage, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
Ability to:

This position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), DonorPerfect, the Internet, social media, and other emerging technology used in a fundraising capacity. Excellent written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills as well as a high level of initiative, self-motivation, and detail orientation are also required.

This position requires the ability to work an irregular schedule including evening and weekend hours.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business management, public administration, or a related field. Five years of full-time responsible experience in a non-profit, museum, or related institution including two years of administrative or supervisory responsibilities. Possess, or obtain upon hire, and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with donor relations, solicitation management, face-to-face solicitations, and grant writing. Experience with web-based programs, including spreadsheets, databases, and graphic design applications. Experience working in an arts and/or cultural institution. Trade association membership or certification, such as Association of Fundraising Professionals and Certified Fundraising Executive.

The New Jersey State Museum seeks a seasoned museum professional to serve as Executive Director and lead the institution as it continues to serve diverse communities. Job Requirements
The Candidate

The Executive Director will be an experienced leader with a proven record of successful management, and an ambassador with an intellectual curiosity, broad worldview and compelling vision. The ideal candidate should possess leadership skills, managerial and planning experience, and a proven track record in fundraising and relationship building. A Master’s degree in one of the Museum’s collection disciplines: American History/American Studies/Material Culture, Fine Art, Archaeology/Anthropology, Natural History, Museum Studies, or a related field required, PH.D. preferred; plus five years experience in a senior management position in a museum accredited by the American Alliance of Museums or equal time in management of similar or comparable institutions.

The Executive Director will have or be:

• Accessible and collaborative, compassionate, adaptable, outgoing, and one who enjoys the social demands of the position;

• Integrity, fairness, decisiveness, and good and tempered judgment;

• A deep and passionate love of, and a commitment to, the highest levels of scholarship and education;

• Credibility and extensive experience in the field, and the networks to prove it;

• An enthusiastic and effective fundraiser;

• An innovator, with a vision of the future of museums;

• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to be effective under pressure and handle constant multitasking and diverse constituencies;

• The experience and ability to manage financial operations;

• A self-starter able to bring an entrepreneurial spirit to an established institution; a track record of coalescing others around objectives and their successful implementation.

Special Events Coordinator [Tower Hill Botanic Garden]

Tower Hill Botanic Garden, New England’s year-round botanic garden located in Boylston, MA, seeks an energetic, creative and organized Special Events Coordinator. He/she will report to and work closely with the Director of Audience Engagement on the development and execution of a diverse array of events and programs, including concerts and other live music, art exhibits, author events, cooking demonstrations, fairs, festivals and flower shows. The position includes event research and development, event and budget management, staffing events when necessary; additional responsibilities as needed and requested. On the day of the event, the Coordinator will assist in set-up, breakdown, and clean-up. This full-time, exempt position requires regular weekend and evening work. Qualifications: Bachelors degree, event planning, hospitality experience or related; significant experience with and interest in art and/or music events. Must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time, be organized and detail-oriented with strong computer skills, work as part of a team and enjoy a very fast-paced environment and interact with volunteers in a professional and responsible manner.
