The Iowa Department of Administrative Services (“DAS”) and Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs (“DCA”) are seeking proposals from qualified and immediately available design professional consulting firms/companies (“Design Professional”) for a consultant team with specialized experience in museum / cultural organization design on the renovation of the State of Iowa Historical Building located at 600 East Locust, Des Moines, IA 50319. The initial project budget for design, construction and administrative staff services is estimated at $55,600,000. Design consulting services will be expected to start in July 2015. It is anticipated that the funding necessary to begin design will be available on July 1, 2015. The State of Iowa will be using the Construction Manager as Owner’s Agent format with multiple trade contractor bid packages.
