Job Description – Executive Director
The American Friends of Blérancourt Inc. is searching for an Executive Director. The AFB is a non-profit corporation (501.c.3) whose principal activity is raising funds to support the Museum of Franco-American Cooperation, Château of Blérancourt, a French National Museum.
The Executive Director will report directly to the officers of the Corporation
The position is located in New York City.
The responsibilities:
Overseeing all activities related to operations, fund-raising, promotion and communication.
- Planning and execution of events
- Financial management, tax-receipts, credit-card payments and personnel records
- Press relations, on-line promotion and maintaining a web-site.
Qualifications:
- A working knowledge of French will be a requirement
- At least five years of experience in a leadership role for a non-profit corporation.
- Strong English writing and communication skills, including experience in producing publications.
- Excellent administrative and computer skills. Quickbooks familiarity will be a plus.
- A proven ability to work independently and find creative solutions to challenges.
Annual salary commensurate with experience.
