Description

Full-time position functions as the Chief Operations and Finance Officer for the museum. Position directly reports to Bill Arning. Creative problem solving, prioritizing needs, and a collaborative management style are highly desired traits in a museum dedicated to innovation and risk. Direct supervisory role overseeing: Development Department; Finance Department; Facilities & Risk Management. Four-year degree in business or museum management required; MBA preferred. Knowledge of current museum practice, the art of today and art history preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, budgeting, administration, fundraising, facilities management and/or project management in a non-profit environment required.  Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Requirements
  • Four year degree in business or museum management required; masters degree preferred
  • Ten years experience in finance, administration, fundraising, facilities management, and/ or project management in a non-profit environment, preferably in a museum
  • Experience with external boards, committees, and high level volunteers
  • Excellent leadership, supervisory, planning, and organizational skills
  • Effective communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
