Description

The Manager of Development Projects is responsible for providing assistance to the Frost Art Museum’s Development department in the events and marketing areas of its operations. Organizes and implements special and donor cultivation events. Maintains the donor database and all donor meetings and proper record keeping. Write and ensures timely communication. Also, monitors accurate processing and ensures acknowledgment of gifts. Assists with annual fundraising campaigns.

  • Leads the development, preparation, coordination, and execution of special events including member openings, donor cultivation events, public program receptions, and fundraising galas.
  • Develops new programs and services that expand the museum’s constituencies. Research and incorporate membership and annual outreach ‘best practices’ into Frost fundraising strategies.
  • Enhances giving opportunities through online platforms, such as social media, website, and e-communications. Integrates social media into development and fundraising efforts.
  • Strategizes on changes and enhancements to programs to increase fundraising results and reach donor acquisition goals.
  • Works closely with Special Events as well as Marketing and Communications to develop new strategies to invigorate donor cultivation and stewardship, and to create innovative special events. Assist the Major Gifts Officer in cultivating and managing key relationships with high level donors.
  • Conducts field research and stays abreast of new ideas and best practices in the area of development events, donor recognition events and activities.
  • Tracks membership renewals to identify and contact prospects for higher levels of membership.
  • Partners with Marketing and Communications to revise membership materials and to develop new donor-related materials.
  • Can direct the work of volunteers and student assistants as assigned.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of planning or management experience.

Preferences:

Experience working with donors, trustees, high net-worth individuals and diverse constituencies in a non-profit setting preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

Track record of planning and coordinating donor recognition events and activities
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university or college and minimum three (3) years’ experience in development management and/or fundraising.
Mature judgment, discretion and professionalism in researching and communicating information.

Salary:

$50,529.94

Other Information:

Must attend meetings off campus and  occasionally attend functions on weekends and evenings.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
