Description
Responsible for developing and coordinating educational programs for K- 12 school groups, families, and the public, both at the museum and off site locations. Trains and coordinates the work of volunteers and student employees. Develops programs related to the museum mission, including exhibits and community partners. Teaches at least one class in the Museum Studies and/or Cultural Resource Program (graduate or undergraduate) per year.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Museum Studies or related field.
Three years of experience in museum education.
Experience working in a higher educational environment.
Experience working in a K-12 educational environment.
Supervisory experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
