Description

Design and implement fund raising activities to support Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, its general operating needs, and its global raptor conservation mission. This will include working closely with the directors of conservation science, education, and facilities to develop grant proposals and prepare donor/foundation reports, and to build a major gifts program with a special focus on individual giving and increasing membership. Must be comfortable interacting frequently with donors and visitors, as well as the administrative and other professional staff, trainees, and volunteers.

Qualifications: More than five years experience in major gift solicitations, a demonstrated ability to write successful grant proposals and funder reports, expertise in current fundraising techniques, and experience creating and following through on donor/funder strategies and action plans. Strong interest in raptor conservation and a familiarity with membership programs.
