Art Resource Collaborative for Kids (ARCK)(ARCK) is a 501 c 3 nonprofit looking for Teaching Artists to teach in-school time partnering with classroom teachers. We use visual art as a vehicle to reach students’ greatest potential. We have been developing a curriculum that fits a different theme each year, last year the theme was about refugees, and this year is about climate change. Prospective teaching artists will be trained on how to use our already designed curriculum. Teaching artists will also be part of the ongoing development and improvement of our curriculum. ARCK is currently in two Boston Public Schools expanded to reach more students, working with students Grades k-8th. Our classes align with academic content and learning themes specific to our partner schools and classrooms as well as the Common Core Curriculum and National Visual Art Standards. ARCK uses arts integration by incorporating STEM components to enhance and engage the academic experience of our students while focusing on developing intercultural diversity leadership roles, civic engagement, social justice and 21st Century skills.

Qualifications:
ARCK is looking for talented enthusiastic teaching artists. Teaching artists will lead art classes in a classroom setting and assist in mentoring interns who are getting their education internship with ARCK. Teaching artists will work with classroom teachers. Teaching artists must have an MFA or equivalent teaching experience and a teaching certificate is preferred, but not necessary

Knowledge and ability to teach interdisciplinary academic connections, align the Visual Art, Common Core Standards, and STEM components. Knowledge of UDL and differentiated instruction is required, if not we will train if candidates do not have experience with UDL and differentiated instructions.
