Position Summary
The Development Associate provides administrative support for the Development Department and assists the Vice President of Development. Associates helps coordinate various department activities, including, but not limited to, prospect research, special events, scheduling, basic reporting, and administrative tasks including, but not limited to, mailings, maintaining files, and data entry.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Manage administrative needs for the department including, but not limited to, prospect research, scheduling, mailings, data entry, and reporting
- Assist with special events including the annual Liberty Medal ceremony
- Work with development staff to help manage development of department materials and communications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred, but not required
Minimum 1 – 2 years prior experience in an administrative capacity required
Prior experience in a nonprofit development setting preferred, but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work weekends, evening hours, or holidays as needed and assigned
Physical Demands
• Standing and walking may be required on an infrequent basis
• Some light lifting, twenty (20) pounds or less, may be required on an infrequent basis
