Key Responsibilities:

School, Youth, and Family Programs (SYF):

• Coordinate all tours and multi-session programs for students
• Coordinate Learning Through Art tours with the LTA coordinator
• Greet, orient, and dismiss visiting school groups including managing coat check bins, and taking payments from teachers as necessary
• Send evaluation surveys to participants after each program for SYF programs; collect data seasonally and produce reports
• Mail curriculum guides and exhibition postcards to teachers
• Provide teaching assistance during vacation camps, Framing the Phrase, including helping students with art projects and assist with the installation of a student exhibition
• Respond to requests for Family, Student, and Educator passes as requested
• Maintain School Programs calendar in Vista
• Regularly inform other departments of scheduled groups
• Photograph School, Youth, and Family programs as needed
• Help prepare materials and hand-outs for educator events and workshops
• Take notes at Sackler Educator professional development programs and archive any printed materials
• Track all School, Youth, and Family statistics in the numbers served document
• Send out special event forms and catering requests as needed
• Assist with SYF social media presence
• Teach and observe multiple tours per exhibition cycle
• Assist in the development of exhibition curriculum materials for Family Programs
• Oversee the uploading and organization of all SYF program images onto Media Beacon

Other

• Carry out special assignments as requested
• Assist with organization of Family Activity Packs and Kiosk
• Manage the Aye Simon Reading Room including volunteer staffing and book acquisitions

Qualifications and Requirements:

• BA/BS/BFA degree in Art History, Art Education, Studio Art or Museum Studies Familiarity with, and interest in modern and contemporary art.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in the Education field
• Excellent writing, organizational, verbal, interpersonal and administrative skills, as well as research and editing skills
• Ability to multi-task and attention to detail
• Budgetary, customer service and office experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, PC and Mac operating systems, and Raisers Edge
• Multilingual fluency a plus
