The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston invites applications for the position of Assistant Curator of Textiles. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, overseeing textile rotations throughout the Museum’s permanent galleries, planning exhibitions and rotations, seeking out and researching new acquisitions, and maintaining curatorial records.
21 hours/week; Tues-Thurs, 9:00am-5:00pm.
Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. An expertise in the textiles of Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and/or native peoples of North and South America is preferred. M.A. in a related field is required, Ph.D. preferred.
