Manage and direct the efforts of Clubhouse Network staff, as well as staff at the “Flagship” Clubhouse, enabling them to successfully fulfill work responsibilities, achieve professional goals and growth, and effectively work as a team. Oversee ongoing Computer Clubhouse Network operations and Clubhouse Network events such as the Annual Conference and Teen Summit, supervising project managers to ensure events are executed effectively, in a timely manner, and within budget. Guide efforts to develop and maintain a database of funders and a system for tracking and managing Computer Clubhouse actions, events, and activities, ensuring accurate, searchable information about every Computer Clubhouse’s participation in the Clubhouse Network. Manage overall ICCN “operations” budget, ensuring annual budgets meet targets and that financial transactions are made in a timely and accurate manner. Supervise staff of “flagship” Clubhouse at MOS so it sets the standard for the Computer Clubhouse Network around the world and effectively serves local youth. Support ICCN Director in developing a 5-year strategic plan and organizing Advisory Council meetings and follow-up.

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

The Computer Clubhouse provides a creative and safe after-school learning environment where young people (ages 10-18) from under-served communities work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas, develop skills, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology. Using the “flagship” Clubhouse as a model, the Intel Computer Clubhouse Network, based at the Museum of Science, supports community-based Clubhouses around the world, providing thousands of youth with access to resources, skills, and experiences to help them succeed in their careers, contribute to their communities, and lead outstanding lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 100+ Clubhouses participating in Intel Computer Clubhouse Network
  • ICCN Annual Conference of 140-150 participants, and $200,000 budget
  • ICCN Teen Summit of 300+ youth and chaperones, and $500,000 budget
  • Number of direct staff:  7
  • Some travel required (3-4 trips per year)

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is grant-funded, full-time, 40 hous/week, Monday-Friday.

REPORTS TO:

Director, Intel Computer Clubhouse Network

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s of Science or Arts and additional course work preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of program management experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Budgement management experience.
  • Strong background/interest in youth development & leadership, technology for creative self-expression and/or social justice action preferred. 

STARTING SALARY:

Exempt (Salary). Commensurate with experience.
