Catalog Volunteer [Kingston Historic Museum]

Kingston Historic Museum seeks catalog volunteer.
Kingston, NH 03848

The Kingston Historic Museum is a purely volunteer run organization. It houses an extensive collection of artifacts, documents, and photographs. Much of these items are not cataloged in anyway, leaving the group with little way to know what import information they have. We are seeking a volunteer with cataloging experience to sort and create an index of our historic document collection. Our hope is to have a searchable database listing the basic content of each
document (such as Excel or Access). As well as a system which allows documents to be easily found (such as accession numbers). This will hopefully include proper storage techniques including Mylar encapsulation, acid free folders and boxes.

Those interested please contact Ruth Albert, (603) 642-5508.
