Interns working with the Curator of Library & Archives will arrange and describe collections of papers. They will gain experience working with the archives management system ArchivesSpace. They will conduct research, write elements of finding aids, and digitize documents and photographs. They may also assist in creating public programs and exhibitions. The Carpenter Museum, the history museum of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, offers a paid summer internship running ten weeks, from mid-June through mid-August 2016. The intern will work one to two days per week, conducting tours for visitors and assisting the curator with collections- and exhibit-related activities. Applicants should be graduate or undergraduate history, education, or museum studies majors with strengths in oral communication, conducting research, and writing.
