Northeastern’s Digital Humanities program is working to preserve the memory of the Boston Marathon, and they need help from museum folks in the area. Here’s their call for volunteers!

Northeastern University’s NULabs for Texts, Maps, and Networks would like to announce the launch of Our Marathon: The Boston Marathon Digital Archive, a digital archive of stories, videos, images, and more about the Boston Marathon bombings, lockdown, and aftermath.  Our Marathon is seeking volunteers to help build the archive through digital curation, plugin/web development, community outreach, oral history interviews, public relations management, and more. To volunteer for this project or for more information, please email Alicia Peaker at peaker.a@husky.neu.edu. The archive, built on the Omeka platform, can be viewed at marathon.neu.edu.

I’m getting involved! Join us!
