Pomona College is seeking a talented, energetic, dedicated, and well-organized professional to serve as the Assistant Director, Sustainability. The candidate must be detailed-oriented and comfortable working in a relaxed but busy environment.
The successful candidate will provide leadership to the College’s sustainability programs and will develop, implement, and assess efforts for the integration of sustainability throughout campus operations and programs. This position will develop, enhance, and maintain environmental stewardship within the campus community and among its constituencies as well as develop strategies for: energy and resource conservation and efficiency, building performance and retro-commissioning, cost forecasting, community engagement and outreach, and strategic planning for sustainability. This position oversees the various programs of the Sustainability Integration Office. This position is an ex-officio member of the President’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability.
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies or other related field of study required; Master’s Degree preferred; Five years of hands-on experience implementing environmental or sustainability programs is required. LEED level accreditation preferred or the ability to obtain within 18 months.
