Specialty Recycling Intern, Tufts Office of Sustainability (Medford, MA)

The Tufts Office of Sustainability is looking for an undergraduate student to manage specialty recycling collection infrastructure, processing, and drop-off of all its specialty recycling items.  This position requires that the intern be active and willing to walk around campus to collect materials and ensure that our waste streams are working efficiently. Other responsibilities for the Specialty Recycling Intern include negotiating with current or potential vendors, tracking and reporting weights and shipments, and working with parties interested in starting new specialty recycling streams to determine feasibility and logistics.

Northeast Fellow, Put A Price On It Campaign (Various locations in New England)

Put A Price On It is a national campaign that mobilizes young people to advocate for science-based and equitable pricing policies at the state and national level regarding carbon emissions. In order to strategically pass equitable and science-based policy, Fall Fellows will be based in regions where there is currently policy being considered, specifically in the Northeast. Fellows will be trained to conduct public outreach on the local and state level.

Fall 2018 Northeast Fellows will be in key states for passing carbon pricing, such as Massachusetts, Vermont, and Rhode Island.

Program Manager, Food For Free (Cambridge, MA)

Food For Free is hiring a Program Manager to oversee the Cambridge Weekend Backpack Program and Food For Free’s School Markets.

The Cambridge Weekend Back Program sends food to Cambridge area school students each Friday to ensure they have access to healthy food for the weekend.  The Free School Markets offer families of Cambridge school children the ability to  stock up on free healthy groceries once a month.
