Program Business Operations
Collects, maintains, and reports on sustainability metrics including the STARS report and related programs; audits and verifies processes relative to sustainable practices and progress and makes independent judgments by interpreting process implementation; uses reporting and collaboration to guide key department representatives in updating and improving operational efficiencies for sustainable practices; collects, analyzes, and synthesizes data using systematic methods such as research surveys and focus groups to identify best practices and opportunities for improvement; and utilizes national reports, articles, and website resources to analyze and benchmark MSU practices with other higher education institutions.

Communication and Coordination 
Coordinates with faculty and staff in the development and advancement of sustainable programs, including presentations and meetings with external partners; communicating and engaging with industry professionals and partners around sustainable practices; and developing and implementing communication strategies utilizing social media and analyzing performance based on metrics.

Student Leadership
Serves as Lead for Student Groups related to sustainability across campus; provides guidance and direction to student employees, temporary employees, and volunteers on projects and planning for sustainability activities.
