In this new role at the food bank, the Data Analyst will be in on the ground floor on important food bank projects, helping to define research and data use to help us to reach new clients and better serve existing clients. The person in this position will analyze data from many different sources, using their expertise to work with the Client Marketing Manager and Evaluation Manager to find actionable insights. The Data Analyst must have a growth mindset, enjoy problem solving, be willing to roll up their sleeves and dig into the details, and be comfortable with ambiguity. Zoning and Development Intern, City of Cambridge (Cambridge, MA)

The Community Development Department (CDD) is the planning agency for the City of Cambridge. Zoning and Development staff manage many aspects of planning for land use and urban development. Specific activities of the Zoning and Development Intern would include:

  • Assisting in review of design and development proposals and other zoning-related initiative
  • Providing staff support for Planning Board meetings (held most Tuesday evenings), occasional City Council hearings, community meetings and in-house review meeting
  • Assisting in preparing meeting materials and presentations for Planning Board and City Council
  • Organizing and processing information to be made available to the public on the CDD web site
  • Researching, analyzing, and summarizing zoning practices and precedents in other municipalities
  • Organizing mailings using Microsoft Word’s mail-merge function 
  • Additional projects may be identified based on the applicant’s skills and interests and the division’s needs
