NYC Emissions Reduction Analyst, Nyserda Clean Energy Communities Program (New York, NY)

Job Description: The Analyst will be charged with helping DEM advance the critical work of reducing greenhouse gas (“GHG”) emissions produced by NYC’s municipal operations. DEM serves as the hub for energy management within the City. The Analyst will conduct research and analysis, assist with strategic project management, and support planning efforts associated with implementation of Local Law 97, the cornerstone of the Climate Mobilization Act passed by New York City Council in April. In particular, the Analyst will help DEM conduct long-term planning activities required to execute Local Law 97.

Public Transit Manager, ITDP (Boston, MA)

The Public Transit Manager is based in Boston, Massachusetts and will play a key role in overseeing the conceptualization, design and implementation of sustainable transport solutions. The primary work area will be technical project management in greater Boston, specifically developing a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Roadmap planning document that considers infrastructure, operational, financial and communications components. The Manager must have a strong command of BRT service and infrastructure planning as well as a willingness to learn the latest international best practices for implementation in greater Boston.

Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) is seeking two Associates or Senior Associates to support the Global Climate Finance initiatives described above. As part of a growing team, these positions will support a wide range of activities, including research, analysis and writing; stakeholder engagement and management; and planning and facilitation of workshops and events. In addition to supporting the above initiatives, these positions will also serve as a resource on climate finance for other programs within RMI. This is an excellent opportunity for early to mid-career professionals with a demonstrated interest in climate finance and a desire to undertake a variety of responsibilities within a fast moving program.

Grow Grant Application Open, New England Grassroots Environment Fund

Grow grants are geared to established groups who are ready to expand the scope of their work. Grow groups often have 1+ year experience running community projects and are ready to take on (pieces of) local system strategy around the issues of food, land & water, climate change, new economies and environmental health. The Grassroots Fund interprets the word ‘environment’ broadly and will provide funding for a wide range of activities.
