The Policy Intern will assist the BCU in researching and advocating for policies that promote biking throughout Greater Boston. This will include analyses of bike parking, winter maintenance of bike lanes, and more. The Policy Intern will report to the Director of Communications. The Intern will work closely with the Director of Communications on data collection, analysis and reporting, with the output helping to shape the BCU’s policy asks. This is a temporary, part-time position (about 10hrs/week on a flexible schedule.) This position will be paid (rate will be a fair wage TBD), and will be performed remotely for the foreseeable future.

The San Francisco Planning Department is currently looking for sixteen bright and enthusiastic interns to work full time with staff on a variety of planning projects this summer (June 7, 2021 thru Aug. 27, 2021). This will be a rewarding and valuable experience for those interested in the planning field and desire introductory work experience or college credit. Interns will conduct research, collect and analyze data, and prepare draft documents for planning work related to housing, historic and cultural resources, zoning compliance, social and racial equity, COVID recovery, urban design and many more.

The Tufts Institute of the Environment (TIE) Environmental Research Fellowship is open to masters and doctoral students from ANY of Tufts’ graduate or professional schools to conduct interdisciplinary, environmental research. The Urban Land Institute’s Building Healthy Places Initiative is excited to announce that applications for the fourth cohort of the ULI/Randall Lewis Health Mentorship Program are now being accepted! This program is an opportunity for graduate students in architecture, urban planning, real estate, or a related field to engage with ULI, develop professional networks, and deepen their understanding of how the built environment shapes and influences human health. The program will pair selected students with a ULI member working at the intersection of health and the built environment to serve as a mentor during the meetings and beyond, as well as connect students with program alumni.
