Sustainability Fellowships, University of New Hampshire

Sustainability Fellowships pair exceptional undergraduate and graduate students from UNH and universities across the country with municipal, educational, corporate, and non-profit partners in New England to work on transformative sustainability initiatives. Each summer, Fellows undertake challenging sustainability projects that are designed to create an immediate impact, offer an extraordinary learning experience, and foster meaningful collaboration.  While working with their mentors and partner organizations, Fellows are supported by their Fellowship peers as well as an active network of partners, alumni, and the UNH team, as they emerge as the next generation of sustainability leaders.

Wellness and Environmental Justice Coordinator, University of California, Berkley

Centering under-served and historically marginalized populations on campus, this position will execute programming* (climate healing circles, wellness collaboration days with Berkeley Free Clinic and Tang, and planned meet-ups with Bay Area QT+ and BIPOC climate activists) that will support SERC BIPOC, Students of Color Environmental Collective (SCEC), and CNR Students of Color. Simultaneously, the position will reinvigorate SERC QTies and create QTies for Climate Justice, a student organization focused on the empowerment and wellbeing of Queer and Trans community members that are engaged in environmentalism. Outdoor education through camping and backpacking trips will be provided to these communities and will create space/opportunities for BIPOC and QT+ populations to reconnect with their communities through healing activities/reconnection with nature.  These projects will be focused on empowering both undergraduates and graduates that are most vulnerable to the impending climate crisis and impacting the broader campus community through coalition building and resource sharing with similar groups across campus and in our surrounding communities. *Programs will be held remotely until further noted.

RAY Conservation & Clean Energy Fellowships, Environmental Leadership Program (Various Locations)

Inspired by efforts to increase racial diversity in environmentally-related sectors, the Roger Arliner Young (RAY) Diversity Fellowship Program supports two cohorts of Fellows per year: RAY Conservation Fellows and RAY Clean Energy FellowsThe RAY Fellowship Program aims to increase and facilitate conservation, energy efficiency, and renewable energy-related career pathways for emerging leaders of color. The RAY Fellowship Program is a two-year paid fellowship designed to equip recent college graduates with the tools, experiences, support, and community they need to become leaders in the conservation and clean energy sectors—one that, in our visions of the future, fully represents, includes, and is led by the diverse communities, perspectives, and experiences of the United States.

Positions offered for the 2021-2023 Fellowship cycle are being shared below updated on a rolling basis between February through the end of March, 2021.

Climate Programs- Various positions, Second Nature (Boston, MA/Remote)

These are exciting opportunities to support Second Nature’s emerging areas of intersectional climate action programs focused on resilience, climate justice, and climate equity.  Second Nature’s mission is to proactively build a sustainable and positive global future through initiating bold commitments, scaling successful actions, and accelerating innovative solutions among leadership networks in higher education.

While accessibility to Second Nature’s Boston office is preferred, remote work will be required for the near term during the coronavirus pandemic and may be considered long term for qualified candidates.
