Sept. 19 AltWheels Fleet Day

When: September 19

Where: Four Point Sheraton in Norwood. (1125 Boston Providence Hwy, Norwood, MA, 02062, US).

AltWheels Fleet Day is the largest corporate and municipal Fleet Managers on the East Coast. Come see and hear the latest in fleet transportation technologies, alternative fuels and fleet management practices.

The day consists of panels, exhibits, and vehicles offering a showcase of alternative transportation solutions — from concept vehicles, to vehicles that are available and affordable today. This year’s Fleet Day will be hosted at the Four Points by Sheraton hotel and conference center on Route 1 in Norwood, MA in their state-of-the-art conference space with a large outdoor vehicle display.

Sept. 17 MCAN’s Tenth Anniversary Party (Somerville, MA)

When: Saturday, September 17th 6-10 pm

Where: Somerville Dilboy VFW Post #529 at 371 Summer St., Somerville: in Davis Square across from the famous Rosebud Diner, and two blocks from the Davis Square T–Station.

Who’s Invited: MCAN leaders, members, volunteers, allies and friends.

The Sustainable Business Network of Greater Boston (SBN), along with the Harvard Business School Association of Boston (HBSAB) and the HBS Green Business Alumni Association (GBAA), invite you to a fun, interactive Case Study Night.

  • Alex Whitmore, Co-founder & Managing Director of Taza Chocolate (stone ground organic chocolate)
  • Chris Van Vleck, President of West Falmouth Energy, Inc. (fire logs and cooking briquettes for the heating and outdoor cooking markets)
  • Luke Hinkle, President of My Generation Energy (solar energy installation)

SBN Board Member Al Nierenberg will help facilitate the discussion. You will hear the stories of how these companies got started, how they are succeeding in today’s competitive environment and where they go from here.
