The Tufts Office of Sustainability is seeking an undergraduate intern to help update the http://operations.tufts.edu/tuftsrecycles/ website, create educational materials for waste reduction programs at Tufts, monitor the recycling & sustainability inboxes, and update various communications channels including the Sustainability at Tufts website, blog, email newsletter, and social media channels. The intern may assist with other marketing and communications tasks as needed.

Oversee operation of the multi-farmer World PEAS Food Hub distributing fresh, locally-grown produce throughout the Merrimack Valley and Boston area. Operations include a 400-share Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program, multiple wholesale accounts and a variety of community partnerships serving low-income and food insecure individuals. Goals include growth of the operation by expanding market channels and diversifying CSA offerings, increasing number of food access partnerships and establishing an institutional marketing program.

The Social Media Intern for The KITCHEN at the Boston Public Market will be responsible for shaping the KITCHEN’s social media presence with creative and consistent content with the goal of engaging visitors in the broader work of The Trustees and the Boston Public Market. The ideal applicant will be energetic, motivated, and comfortable working in a self-directed and fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and writing skills are required. Interest in local food, cooking, health, environment, historic preservation, visitor engagement, land management, and/or non-profits is encouraged. Applicants must be tech-savvy and familiar with the major social media marketing platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, or be willing and able to learn on the job.

The Tufts Office of Sustainability is seeking an undergraduate student with strong communications skills to help inform the Tufts community about the university’s sustainability initiatives. The intern will assist with office communications, including creating documents and outreach materials, writing articles, assisting with social media programming, and performing website and blog maintenance. This position is for the 2016-2017 academic year and will begin in September 2016. Interns are expected to work approximately 8 hours per week.
