Summary:
Creates life-like sculptures of plant and animal models for a world-renowned natural history museum exhibit company headquartered in Cedarcreek, Missouri.
Essential Functions—Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with clay, plastics, resins to achieve realistic 3D museum display models.
- Mold making abilities using silicone and plasters.
- Works closely with fabrication team and vendors.
- Works with a wide range of power tools and fabrication machinery.
- Ability to paint in great detail with acrylics and oils.
Individual must be able to maintain a professional and positive demeanor in all circumstances and provide quality customer service. Must handle critiques in a professional manner, follow directions, and work well in a team environment. Good communications skills, both written and verbal, are a must. Individual should work well under pressure and be able to multi-task.
Sense of humor is required.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Job Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
PC and MAC experience, sculpting and fabrication experience. Attention to Detail, Thoroughness.
Physical Demands:
Work is primarily performed in an indoor office setting with extended periods of sitting, or standing. Physical effort is needed to move, lift, and carry supplies.
