When is the Bright Horizons National Hiring Day?

This event is being held online only on Tuesday, February 1, 2022. You’ll be able to select the time to attend that works best for your schedule. Because National Hiring Day is being held virtually, you’ll be able to join from wherever you are!

How do I register?

In late January, you will receive an email from Bright Horizons inviting you to sign up for a time to meet with a recruiter on Indeed’s Hiring platform. Hiring managers may be available to meet with you for an interview during National Hiring Day; you also may be scheduled for an interview with a hiring manager in the days following the event. Keep in mind, we work with young children and families, thus our comprehensive hiring process includes background checks that take a few days to return.

Yes! Our full-time, center-based employees can complete their associate and/or bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education through our Horizons Teacher Degree Program. Learn more here

School Psychologist position


  • Position Title: School Psychologist
  • Terms of Employment:      201 days per year (School year + 15 days)
  • Union Classification:        Non-union
  • FLSA Classification:        Exempt

Job Goal:  

This position performs specialized psychological work in an educational setting to help students achieve optimal  learning. This work includes collecting, assessing, and analyzing individual student information from observations, evaluations and assessments of referred students and working cooperatively as an interdisciplinary team member to plan and provide appropriate interventions and services through the student services department and provides opportunities for direct social skills instruction and counseling support. 


  • Masters Degree
  • Valid New Hampshire School Psychologist Certification or proof of eligibility
  • Comprehensive knowledge of school psychology theory, child growth and development, conditions affecting learning and behavior, psychological tests and measurements, academic assessments, functional behavior assessments / behavior intervention plans, and crisis management 
  • Ability to work cooperatively as an interdisciplinary team member and establish and maintain effective working relationships with community agencies, students, families, teachers, administrators and others
  • Ability to select,  interpret and use diagnostic and assessment data
  • Counseling, interviewing, and crisis intervention skills 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with complete security
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities to apply and interpret federal, state and local laws and policies related to educational service requirements for students
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive required due to travel between District schools

Babysitter for the spring 2020 semester

Are you free on Tuesdays, Thursday and/or Friday afternoons? We are looking for a babysitter for the spring 2020 semester to watch our 7 and 11 year-old children. Weekly schedule of 2:30-5:30 pm on Tue/Th/Fri, with occasional babysitting opportunities on other weekday afternoons or weekends. 

Pickup at a school just blocks from Tufts for a family near Teele Square in Somerville. Visit local museums & libraries, parks & playgrounds, playdates and scheduled activities. $20 per hour, starts in January.
