Childcare in Wakefield

I am looking for someone from 2-4ish, Monday-Thursday for the remainder of the school year. I am located in Wakefield, and this would involve picking my 4 and 7 years olds up from their schools (clean driving record please). We have two dogs in the home, and ideally I would love to have someone who was comfortable taking them out in the yard when they first get there. We are careful in regards to COVID and would need the same from someone coming into our home.

I’m looking to pay $20/hour, but that could be flexible. This could extend beyond the school year for occasional nights/weekends in the future with the right fit.

After school babysitter in Arlington

We are looking for an after school babysitter for our two daughters in Arlington, near Arlington Center.  The job is 3-5 afternoons a week from 2:30 to 6.

– The bulk of the time will be spent with our fun and energetic 4th grader (9 1/2 years old). We would like someone to help her navigate her after school hours while we are working from home in other parts of our house.
–  Duties would include helping her get a snack, helping her get set up with and complete homework, helping her get ready for and logged into any remote after school activities she has (or driving her to those activities if they eventually resume in-person), and, if she has free time, hanging out together and going outside to get physical activity whenever possible.
–  The job would also include picking up our younger daughter (5 years old) at preschool at 5 pm and bringing her home, and then hanging out with both girls until we finish up with work.
– Assuming the hybrid program moves forward in Arlington public schools, our older daughter will be at school two days a week and then remote the other three days. If possible, we need the babysitter to pick her up at school on the in-school days at 2:30 p.m., and on the remote days, the babysitter would arrive at our house at 2:30 p.m.
–  If there is downtime while the older daughter is in a remote class or independently working on homework, we would like the babysitter to fill the time with some light housework such as unloading the dishwasher, tidying up the girls’ rooms, etc.

Pay range is $18-$22 per hour, dependent on experience. Clean driving record required. Preferred if the babysitter has her own car, though use of ours is a possibility.

Childcare Opportunity

I am looking for a mother’s helper to assist with my 21 month old daughter (and newborn coming in October!!!

  • Starts end of August / early September and goes until at least the end of 2020, with option to extend if I am still working from home after the new year (likely)
  • Hours can be flexible, but I’m hoping for 8 am – 4 pm M-F
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and paid on the books – we will handle all payroll taxes etc.
  • STRICT social distancing. Newborn in the house = you must either drive to our house (parking spot provided) or walk/bike.
  • We have a dog and a cat – both very friendly, but if you have pet allergies this will not work.
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Light housekeeping – load / unload the dishwasher, help with toddler’s laundry, tidy her playspace, etc.
  • Salary commensurate with experience
  • We will offer paid sick days and vacation (to be discussed due to short duration)A little more about us – my toddler is VERY active and will want to go outside all day everyday, to playgrounds, parks, etc. This is not a job for someone who wants to sit on the couch and play on their phone. But if you like keeping busy and watching a hilariously entertaining toddler, this is the perfect fit.

This would also be a good position for someone looking to gain newborn experience – while I expect the mother’s helper to primarily deal with my toddler, I would be happy to have some assistance with the newborn as well

Please do not respond if you do not fit all of the above. If you do, please reach out with your resume, references, and salary requirement. I look forward to hearing from you!
