The attendees of the fair will have a chance to hear from administrators, educators and students about the experience of working in Somerville. The representatives from our Human Resources department will be available to discuss potential job openings in Somerville Public Schools.

Additionally, the hiring managers (building principals and department chairs) will be present to virtually meet candidates and ask specific questions about specific buildings, district programs and/or open positions.

Virtual Access Coach (Paid)

The Virtual Access Coach is a paid, part-time internship for current undergraduate college students (preferred) and graduate students. Reporting to a Program Manager, Virtual Access Coaches are on the front lines of educational justice as educators, role models, and mentors who help students navigate the SAT and are excellent at creating meaningful mentoring relationships with high school juniors via all virtual means. Full training and supervision provided.

This is a paid, semester-long position that will be done virtually. Training in January.

Virtual Access Instructor (Paid)

The Virtual Access Instructor is a paid, part-time internship for current undergraduate (preferred) and graduate college students. Reporting to a Program Manager, Virtual Access Instructors are responsible for effectively teaching SAT content virtually and helping students understand concepts and test-taking strategies. Full training, curriculum and supervision provided.

This is a paid, semester-long position that will be done virtually. Instructors must be available after 4:30 pm on at least one of the following days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Training is in January.
