Responsibilities: The Catalog Intern will assist department catalogers and appraisers to prepare for spring and summer auctions. Primary responsibilities include: inputting object information from appraisers into Excel, in addition to fact checking, measuring, and researching items to ensure accuracy of catalog listing. The catalog department intern will also assist with preparing condition reports prior to the auction and help to manage and update online auction listings. The conclusion of the internship will see the intern complete and post online their own auction listing.
Qualifications:
Qualifications: Study in art history or a related field strongly preferred. Candidates should be detail oriented and possess excellent writing and proofreading skills with a familiarity in art historical terms, as well as superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and an ability to learn new programs with efficiency and ease. Strong customer service and keen communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
