Director of Marketing & Communications [Heritage Museums & Gardens, Sandwich, MA]

Heritage Museums & Gardens, in Sandwich, MA, Cape Cod, seeks a dynamic and energetic Director of Marketing & Communications. The position, supervising a staff of two, provides strong and proactive leadership on communications strategy to reach visitors, media, community groups and donors. Areas of responsibility include oversight of the brand, supervising group sales, participating in setting pricing, formulating strategy with and serving as liaison with outside ad agency, heading up media relations, supervising website and social media presence, directing production of collateral, serving as liaison with outside vendors for related communications services. Successful candidates will have 5-7 years demonstrable experience in these areas. Candidates with experience in museum or attraction marketing are especially encouraged to apply. We seek a positive, unflappable communicator who can multi-task, possesses good design and marketing instincts, excellent media relations skills, track record of meeting or exceeding financial goals.
