Position Summary

The Integrated Marketing Coordinator is a full-time professional position responsible for the maintenance of the Museum’s website, social media platforms, and the development of content and graphic materials for the marketing of the Museum to its external constituents. This individual will possess a strong design aesthetic and understanding of electronic communication mediums. The Integrated Marketing Coordinator provides an essential support role for the long-term museum marketing goals and objectives. This position reports to and receives direction from the Director of Marketing and Communications.

Major Responsibilities

Website Management

  • Works cross-functionally with other museum departments to gather and create content for communications and marketing usage
  • Maintain integrity and usability of the Kemper Museum’s responsive-design website
  • Manages the calendar, online forms, e-commerce reporting, media library, etc.
  • Works with other museum staff to update/create website pages as needed
  • Manages the registered website user database and ongoing website development projects

Social Media

  • Updates social media content and contributes to digital strategy planning
  • Plans/researches/writes engaging content for social platforms
  • Monitors and reports on conversations on social media platforms and peer review sites

Graphic/Video Design

  • Design and develop graphic materials for communication and marketing purposes
  • Edit and produce informational and/or marketing videos as needed

Analytics

  • Monitors, tracks and analyzes statistics for email and social media campaigns
  • Tracks website traffic and user behavior through Google Analytics

Other Duties as assigned by Director of Marketing and Communications

Job Specifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in fine arts, graphic/web design, communications or related field preferred.
  • Two to five years progressive experience in graphic and/or web design responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, social media site management, and content management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience using Drupal or other web authoring software.
  • Demonstrated experience with audio/visual recording and editing.
  • Must show discretion in the handling of confidential information.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
