SUMMARY STATEMENT:

The Youth Programs Program Assistants will support the Summer Youth Internship Program by assisting in weekly workforce development workshops. Program assistants will work at the team leader on a team of 3 – 4 to develop 1-3 projects focused on engaging the high school audience in teen-relevant topics. Program assistants will work collaboratively with one another to ensure consistency across projects. Program assistants will also cultivate a community for summer youth interns and role model best practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in 1 – 3 four-hour workshops a week for 7 weeks
  • Work as a team leader on 1 -3 teams of 3 – 4 people each.
  • Assist in planning 2 teen events for summer youth interns.
  • Assist in 1 three-hour orientation session and 1 additional training session for summer youth interns.
  • Participate in department weekly meetings for 7 weeks

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is temporary, part-time, with up to 28 hours per week running July through September.

Manager, School & Youth Programs
