Performs moderately complex (journey-level) curatorial work under the direction of the Chief Curator. Work involves cataloging, digitizing, preserving, tracking, and utilizing agency state-wide interpretive collections and related institutional files. Requires research ability to obtain scholarly knowledge of content and collection care standards. Maintains registration, cataloging, and record-keeping systems used to manage collections, acquisitions, and exhibitions. Requires physical strength and stamina to lift and move large and heavy objects in adverse conditions and heights. Will collaborate as team member or project manager for program projects. Assists in the development and implementation of statewide interpretive collections guidelines, standards, and tools. May supervise and train the work of volunteers, interns and assistants. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division, and Branch rules, regulations, and procedures. |
