SUMMARY STATEMENT:

In a collaborative team environment, proactively facilitate the key account sales operations of the Engineering is Elementary product to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience. This will include superior customer communication via phone and e-mail and a willingness to proactively meet customer requests to the extent possible. Other tasks will include order processing via PO, creating price quotes and resolving shipping and/or order issues through building a strong relationship internally with our sales and implementation staff and externally with our distribution company. The position will also require the ability to understand the big picture operations and offer suggestions for improvement to systems and logistics related to the sales process and the customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with orders over $10,000 and/or large school districts
  • Participate in 2-5 customer calls per week
  • Enter 10-15 orders per week
  • Answer 20 e-mails/day
  • Enter 10-15 price quotes/wk
  • Process over $250,000 in sales per month

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday.
REPORTS TO:

Finance & Store Operations Manager, Elementary Curriculum Development
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Three (3) or more years of Customer Service, Project Management, or Business Administration experience
  • Bachelors of Science or Arts degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing priorities so as to deliver results according to deadline in a high throughput environment
  • Demonstrated track record in excellent customer service
  • Experience working with Excel, Word, Outlook and the ability to reconcile data on spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and/or research skills. Proven ability to research options and offer suggestions for implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to train junior level staff in best practices of the team and offer guidance and support

STARTING SALARY:

Non-Exempt (Hourly). Commensurate with experience.
