Substitute Museum Educators

Description:
The USS Constitution Museum is seeking Museum Educators who are able to cover staff vacations and provide extra support during special events (school vacation weeks, homeschool days, functions, etc.). Educators work in a highly visible position that is essential to fulfilling the Museum’s mission of creating a positive, memorable experience where visitors of all ages can learn and connect to history.The position is responsible for welcoming and providing exceptional customer service to our visitors, facilitating a range of hands-on interpretive experiences in our galleries, and encouraging visitors to voluntarily donate to the Museum.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate is someone who enjoys engaging with museum audiences, has experience in cash handling and customer service, and an interest in American history. Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include weekends and/or holidays, is essential. This position is ideal for anyone interested in working in an educational setting who does not want to commit to a regular weekly schedule.
