Description

Longwood Gardens has an opening for a full-time Visitor Center Assistant Manager. We are looking for an individual to join our management team to assist in the daily operations of our Visitor Center, including supporting guest services and the admissions and ticketing operation for more than 1.3 million guests, event, performing arts and membership sales. This position reports to the Visitor Center Manager and is one of three Assistant Visitor Center Managers. Responsibilities will include hiring, managing, training and scheduling staff. This individual will assist with crowd control, access to the gardens, rentals, resolution of guest issues, and monitoring of guest flow inside the Visitor Center throughout the day. In addition to managing the daily operations on the floor, responsibilities include management of our contact center, which handles over 120,000 calls annually. Operating hours and work schedule vary from season to season, and include evenings, consistent weekend work (at least 1 weekend day/night per week), and all major holidays.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience supervising staff and have a customer service, ticketing, non-profit or hospitality background. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and experience using a point-of-sale ticketing system is required.  Knowledge of ticketing operations, reporting, guest service standards and familiarity with technical systems is required.
