S2022 Tufts@BNU Program Application Memo

Tufts Global Education

November 15, 2021

Dear SoE Master’s Degree and Certificate Program Students,

We are pleased to inform you that Tufts University and Beijing Normal University (BNU) are working together to extend the Tufts@BNU Program to the spring semester of 2022. Tufts@BNU is a residential program based on the BNU Changping Campus, which enables Tufts students to take both online courses from Tufts and in-person courses at BNU. See attached info sheet for more details of the program.

We hope all of you are able to attend in-person classes here on the Medford Campus. Just in case, the Tufts@BNU Program will be available to accommodate students who are not able to come to the U.S. due to visa and COVID related issues. Please keep in mind that the program may be cancelled if enrollments are under 8. For additional program details, please visit our website at https://sites.tufts.edu/tuftsatbnu/.

Tufts created the Tufts@BNU Program as a pathway for our students who are currently in China to matriculate as Tufts students on the BNU campus. Students can enroll in in-person classes on the BNU campus and simultaneously take Tufts University graduate classes remotely and asynchronously. Your residential experience will include living in a BNU dormitory with other Tufts University students and special cohort activities through which you will engage with your Tufts classmates on the BNU campus and with the Tufts students and faculty in the U.S.

The Tufts@BNU Program will accept applications to the program starting today, November 15, 2021. The application will close at 11:59pm, Sunday, December 12, 2021, Beijing time.
