Research Associate Intern, Sustainable Energy Advantage (Framingham, MA)

Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and organized Research Associate intern to perform research as well as quantitative market, financial, and economic analysis pertaining to the renewable energy industry. We are looking for an individual capable of contributing to a thriving consulting practice in supporting the needs of a diverse set of clients and tasks. This position represents an opportunity to gain exposure to, and experience with, a wide range of topics and stakeholders active in the renewable energy industry. Full time availability is preferred but part time positions are available. The position is for three months in the fall. An option to extend into a Fellowship position may be available.

GIS Research Assistant, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Medford, MA)

The Fletcher School is in need of a GIS-proficient research assistant for remote support to a research project in Kenya. The research is an investigation of the wages of digital drivers in Nairobi, who will be recruited by hailing a digital taxi from a set of random coordinates, weighted by the concentration of drivers in different wards of Nairobi county. The research assistant will support the project by:

  1. Generating a list of random coordinates within wards in Nairobi county to facilitate sampling (August 2019) 
  2. Produce a map of the final sample distribution after the sampling period (likely October 2019)
  3. Potentially troubleshoot other GIS-issues that arise during the course of the project (through January 2019)

This role pays $15 per hour for up to 20 hours total with a guarantee of at least 10 hours of work. Interested candidates should send an introductory note to Julie Zollman detailing their availability and GIS experience.

Population and Sustainability Communications Associate, Center for Biological Diversity (Remote)

The Center for Biological Diversity seeks a part-time communications associate in our Population and Sustainability program to manage the online presence for innovative campaigns addressing the impact of unsustainable human population growth and overconsumption on wildlife and the planet. This position reports to the Population and Sustainability Director. This is a 25 hour/week position.

Sustainability Intern, SMFA (Boston, MA)

Nancy Bauer, Dean of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, has established the new position of Sustainability Intern at the SMFA, beginning Fall 2019. The intern will work 5 hours a week and report to the chair of the Sustainability Committee, Silvia Bottinelli.
