8th Annual U.S. C3E Poster Awards

The U.S. C3E Poster Competition is an opportunity for students and early-career researchers to participate in a poster competition at the 8th Annual U.S. C3E Women in Clean Energy Symposium at Texas A&M University. The poster competition exposes symposium attendees to cutting-edge research in a variety of clean energy fields. A poster committee with wide-ranging expertise will select the most compelling poster submissions for presentation at the Symposium with an eye toward diversity of institution, topic, and discipline.

2019 Campus RainWorks Challenge (EPA)

The Campus RainWorks Challenge is a green infrastructure design competition for American colleges and universities that seeks to engage with the next generation of environmental professionals, foster a dialogue about the need for innovative stormwater management techniques, and showcase the environmental, economic, and social benefits of green infrastructure practices.

Registration: September 1 through October 15, 2019
Deadline for Entries: December 17, 2019

Environmental Research Fellowships, Tufts Institute of the Environment (Medford, MA)

Matriculated graduate students at any of Tufts University’s graduate programs and professional schools are eligible to apply for a TIE fellowship.

TIE’s environmental research fellowship can be used to conduct interdisciplinary environmental research projects. This is an opportunity for students to conduct research within their own area of interest and obtain mentorship and guidance from Tufts faculty and TIE staff to help build expertise. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. New TIE Fellows will join more than 100 Tufts students and alumni who have participated in this fellowship since 2002. Retreats, workshops and presentations are organized by and for the TIE Fellows so that the students can build skills and expand professional networks.

The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory is seeking a Staff Associate to work with our International Research Institute for Climate and Society’s successful and growing team. In accordance with the International Research Institute for Climate and Society’s mission, which is to enhance society’s capability to understand anticipate and manage the impacts of climate in order to improve human welfare, especially in developing countries, the responsibilities of this position will be to advance research in integrating climate information (monitoring and forecast) into applications for natural disasters and emergencies, within the humanitarian sector, in particular for floods, which will benefit IRI’s partner community (e.g. International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent and NASA).
